Today, I started lessons on snowboarding. As soon as I got to the top of the hill, my instructor pushed me saying, "Just believe, it'll come to you!" He said this just before I hit a tree, breaking my nose. FML

Today, I was snowboarding when a skier cut me off, resulting in me colliding with a 12 year-old girl. The girl was totally fine, and I was alright except for a slight nose bleed. I apologized to the girl, then her mom hit me over the back with a ski pole as I snowboarded away. FML

Today, I went skiing. Trying to show off to some inexperienced skiers, I flew past them at my top speed, a bracket snapped off my boot and I slid on my face for about 30 metres. FML

Today, I went skiing with a friend of mine. He went first. I heard a loud *THUD* and went to investigate. When I went past him, he yelled, "I ran into a tree. I don't feel so good!" He said it in such a defeated and humorous way, that I crashed into a tree myself because I couldn't stop laughing. FML

Today, I went sledding with my friends. I said I was tired and didn't want to go, but they press-ganged me into it. I ended up sledding right into a tree, fracturing my leg, and scraping up my entire face. FML

Today, I was skiing really fast and there was a sign saying 'Slow Down'. Feeling rather good about myself I decided to jump over the sign. Whilst jumping, however, I caught my ski tips on the sign and went face first into the ground. Hard. FML

Today, it snowed. So, a guy I like and I decided to go sledding. I really wanted to impress him by going down the hill and casually slowing down at the bottom right at his feet. Instead, I crashed into him and broke his ankle. FML

I saw a young child on skis while he was taking skiing lessing, zoom down a bunny slope and slam into the back of a girl sitting near the lift (her back was turned and didnt see it coming). The kid did a flip in the air and landed on his back.

Were you on a big hill (green and blue runs)? Because if you were a beginner, you should have been on the bunny slopes. It is wide open space, no trees in the way. Why did he take you on a more advanced run with obstacles?

23: Wow. That is horrible. I enrolled my 7yr old in snowboarding school this winter. Her instructor is great. He never pushed her beyond her ability, made sure she was proficient in one skill before going to the next. She is now snowboarding and keeping up with me on the black runs. I find most jerk instructors are at the big tourist resorts. We go to the smaller resorts most locals frequent and all the employees are very professional.

He didn't say "Just believe, it'll come to you" he said "just bleed, and then it will come to you". Common mistake, most snowboarders have to learn the hard way that in order to be good at it, you need to bleed profusely from your face first. Oh well, better luck next time.
