Today, I told my boyfriend that I gained a few pounds and thought I looked fat. He replied that I looked the same and that I shouldn't worry because he likes fat girls. I never thought I was fat before this. FML

why would you say that you think you look fat and then say that you never thought you were fat before this?

I think the OP is trying to say that she didnt think she was fat until she had put on these few pounds, but the boyfriend said she hadn't changed, saying that she was always fat... The OP didnt believe she had been fat before, until she had put these few pounds on.

if ur a fat ass then go to the gym and work out???? ever hear of a gym u fatty?? there everywhere. or just go run outside which is free.. typical lazy fat ass woman. stop bitchin at things u can change and go do somethin bout it.. a man weighed 600 pounds and lost a little over 400 or so in like 2-4 years or somethin like that.. use his story as ur motivation and get off ur ass go to a treadmill .. put it on 8 with an incline and work up a sweat besides stuffing ur face

i hate it when women try to do that. i mean cmon what u want us to say? eventually we're gonna say "yes you look like fat shit"

your fault for fishing for compliments!

but if you never thought you were fat before he said something, why did you tell him you thought you looked fat? l

Not everybody will coddle you and your stupid attention grabbers.. I will always tell everyone the truth.. A fat person says "I think I'm getting fat" will not be told otherwise. Get over it and stop relying on other people to make your denial better..

well maybe it's time to join a gym or stay fat either way mayyybbee your boyfriend will stay:)

What is so horrible about being "fat"?! You are beautiful just the way you are... Besides; a "few extra pounds" doesn't sound unhealthy to me!

1. You say in your first sentence that you thought you looked fat, but you say in your third sentence that you had never felt fat before your boyfriend's comments. Are you genuinely so utterly confused about your own feelings, or were you just trying to fish for compliments? 2. Your boyfriend said that you looked the same, meaning that he did /not/ think that you had gotten fat. His later comment was obviously meant to tell you that it would not matter even if you did get fat in the future. In any case, he was obviously trying to reassure you, so why would you go out of your way to twist his reassurance into an insult? The only thing worse than fishing for compliments is interpreting the compliments you get as insults and creating a vicious cycle of angst and negativity that others have to constantly dive into to rescue you. There is a difference between being insecure and being an emotional vampire. YDI.
