Today, I told my girlfriend I needed someone to talk to because I just found out my aunt has cancer. She told me to talk to her in an hour, Spongebob was on. FML

Spongebob ftw! I would choose him any day over my boyfriend to be quite honest :)

#62 I feel sorry for your bf too then lol But seriously when it's something as serious as your aunt having cancer that's a shocking response for her to reply with. Personally I'd dump her, nothing worse than having a girlfriend who has no interest in how you feel.

OWNED. get the **** off of this site if your dating a hoe old enough to still take any pleasure from spongebob without being high as **** i love being an asshole

destroy her tv, then break up with her.

i love spongebob... and im 16 so yeah =P but that's really immature to leave you alone when you needed her. god #65 don't be so harsh. dump her just for that? #56 is totally right.

I understand where she is coming from. Spongebob is awesome and if she doesn't have DVR then what is a girl to do right?

So when you DO talk to her, she'll feel like a moron. Really stick it to her, DON'T let her live that down. Or, just dump the selfish bitch.

Just because I was 18 when I got married doesn't mean it was a stupid decision. I know plenty of people who're married young and are still married in their 50's and 60's. Big whoop, I started my life before most people my age. I'm also a hell of a lot more mature than many people ten years older than me, so don't judge. And if you're going to hit me with the "I like Spongebob" thing, my PARENTS watch Spongebob and love it, so there you are.

Not to mention, I'm going to college and will be getting my Master's before the end of it, and he's graduating and going to be a teacher. We got married-- we're not struggling in a shitty apartment somewhere without any life goals. We're both doing well and will do even better once we graduate. Not everybody gets married out of stupidity, you dink. Take a person's situation into consideration before you open your mouth (or touch the keyboard, I suppose).

#70 I know a lot of people who married young and regretted it and split 5 years later, if not sooner. Maturity's not a prerequisite for marriage, and it's a lot harder to go to college (especially full time) when you're married and have kids to support. Just because you got married to spite your parents doesn't mean you're mature enough to handle adult life. OP, this is a good indication of what she's going to be like if your aunt gets worse, or if something similar comes along. She is showing you that you can't count on her, and you're not a high priority for her. Are you okay with that? Dump her and find someone who cares, and I don't say that to be mean, for once.
