my ex bf did exactly the same thing when i said i wanted to break up, he said 'well i dont', end of discussion. i broke up with him 2 days later over the phone. he isn't respecting what you want.

some men are abusive and it isnt that easy to just up and leave. and restraining orders are just a piece of paper. if someone wants to "hurt/kill" you, the restraining order is the last damn thing they'll be worried about. death do us part....but there are some things you cant forgive/get over. seriously. people shouldnt even get married. it would solve the whole divorce thing. god. Does the phrase "Women's Rights" ring any bells? There are ways of divorcing him even if he doesn't want it. Talk to a lawyer or your local human services. Either way, GTFO!
