Long distance relationships are hard to maintain one reason: communication issues. But i've managed with my boyfriend for 3 years, he will be moving here this year :)
This happened to me before, but the inverse. It was creepy. I don't know how he ever got the idea we were going out. He never asked me out, and we never acted like a couple. As I said before, it was creepy. So seeing it from the other side you probably deserved it, unless she led you on.
