Today, I told the man I've been in love with for 3 years, who also happens to be my boss, how I felt. He responds by filing sexual harassment charges against me. FML

It's those words "in love with..." that did it. You don't tell random people you've been "in love with them" for three years. That's ******* creepy. Now, if you had said something NORMAL, like, "I'd like to go out for coffee sometime", you probably wouldn't be in this position. Weirdo.

if he is married, she'd have to be an even bigger idiot to admit that here..because then she'd be a desperate idiot AND a homewrecker

Can someone explain how you can be in love with someone you have never been in a relationship with? If this was a normal professional relationship there's no way I'll believe OP has enough information to be in love with him sans stalking or being creepily observant. Which is still not healthy

What's with all the YDIs? Have some empathy people!

dude, why do you always feel the need to respond with a ******* novel? Noone needs your input that much, seriously.

Time for a joke! Have you ever heard the one about the woman who walked into a bar...

Never, EVER, confess your love to a co-worker or ANYONE at your workplace. Do NOT get romantically or sexually involved with co-workers and/or professional colleagues. If you simply HAVE to date someone at your job, find another job, then call them up after you've left. YDI for confessing your obsession with your boss to your boss. That was a stupid mistake that put you both in a difficult position. A friend once told me "Don't shit where you work" and that's always rung true. I've seen too many office romances blow up and end badly.

and you thought it was appropriate to tell your boss you were "in love" with him why? ydi a million times
