YDI-NEVER nap with a kitten-if you read this site daily, you'd know that someone did that...and ended up with a dead kitten next to them...
My cat slept next to me and I never woke up to a dead cat next to me..
I agree with 73, just be glad the kitten was still alive. idiot.
73, 75 - how many times have people slept with cats and not crushed them? You can't live life expecting the exception rather than the rule in every case.
Being around cats is not really healthy. You can develop breathing difficulties....I've seen it a lot of time. Besides their poo is so toxic, you can get sick by inhaling it.
Breathing difficulties? WTF? Only if you're allergic to their dander and/or don't keep your house clean. All animal feces (including humans) can be a health hazard if you come into contact with it and don't wash your hands. Cat feces are known for carrying Toxoplasmosis which can be hazardous to pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems. Otherwise healthy adults generally are not affected by this parasite and infection can be avoided by washing your hands. There are many people who around cats 24/7 and experience no health problems because they keep their living areas clean. Also, owning a cat can help lower stress levels, blood pressure, and help combat depression.
I read something like this a few days ago too, and here's the same response -> It is a proven scientific fact that a person has no sense of smell while sleeping. So, either you are not a human being, or nice try making a FML.

If you JUST adopted the kitten (same day, or so) that's not what you're supposed to do. Poor thing was probably freaked, and needs to be litter box trained.
Hang on, I'm not quite following this. You're asleep. You smell poo. You feel all around your bed, and DONT expect this to end badly? The kitten was testing you. You failed.
