Today, I took a shower after I finished typing an important essay I've been working on for days. My computer illiterate mum shut the computer down when I was gone, without saving a thing. When I confronted her, she yelled at me for "wasting electricity". FML

what an asshole. make her retype it. she shouldn't do stuff when she's in over her head. but even though it's not your fault you still should have saved. maybe you got your computer illiterate genes from your mom. however if youre using word autorecovery might have saved it.

why's everyone callin' fake of this. it's happened to me before! sometimes you just get in a hurry to get up & leave, that you forget to save things. & some parents will turn off the computers. it happens all the time. don't assume! -- it makes an ass out of u & me ;)

ur all idiots.... just turn the comp back on and open word (which I assume ur using) and there will be a box on the side that says recovered documents. just click on the paper and it will come back
