@37: Have some goddamn respect for your goddamn elders, and keep in mind that 1:They grew up in a time when girls didn't wear anything but dresses and dress shoes, and skirts were knee length at least, and 2:They're only trying to help you, and 3:You won't look so good either in about 60 years. Honestly, kids these days... As for the OP, don't sweat it. Our grandparents grew up in a time when expressing filial affection was taboo. She may have been about to thank you, or say she loves you, then felt really silly and came up with something random to cover it up.
