Today, I took the 6 year old I'm babysitting to the mall to see Santa after weeks of her begging. We got there in time to see him get out of his Prius and dress in the parking lot. FML

How can you do that to kids?!!! Tell them lies and think its okay! I just don't get it. I don't belong to any religious groups. I just don't lie to my kids. They all know its for fun and not real! Right from birth up! Kids are not stupid, why make them appear dumb in front of other kids and adults. YDI

I totally agree. Who were you excited for Santa. It was jt te sprinkle on top. It's not like I don't remember and cherish valid cookies with mom and decorating the tree or just all the family. So your kids lives suck. Way to take something away from them. Now they're the weird kids

Wow F your kids life :( Let them be little. My kids know what Christmas is about but they get so excited about Santa and all the stories. I couldn't imagine taking that away from them.

You should have humored the kid and confronted Santa on being an imposter. The guy probably would have gotten a kick out of it too, you never know.

A teacher told a classroom full of students (2nd graders) that santa wasn't real. You could always explain the mall santa is a helper santa.
