i've never heard of a hot oil treatment but it sounds terrifying.
http://www.ehow.com/how_2182609_do-homemade-hot-oil-treatment.html read step three. "never apply directly to hair or scalp"
HAHA... shit happens. but there is always a bright side. love it.
You can use hot water for hot oil...just puttin' it out there...
A Hot oil treatment....does not involve a sauce pan full of hot oil on the stove!
You can also do "hot" oil by using room-temperature oil applied to your hair, covered with a shower cap and a towel and left on for an hour or so. Your body heat will make it penetrate. Deep fat frying your hair will not strengthen it or help it at all. I hope this is a spoof. Otherwise we'll be reading about you doing a mud pack by sinking yourself in a quicksand pit.
YDI, majorly! There are hot oil treatments out on the market that come in tubes and you just warm up 'em in your bath water. Way to be stuuuuuupid.

I'm pretty sure deep-frying your hair is NOT part of any spa treatment. You probably misunderstood what it was.
Lol, do you not know oil catches fire if you heat it on its own for too long? YDI =P
