Today, I invited everyone to a gig I'm playing at a bar. They closed it down just for me when I told them how many people were attending, and I spent all day setting it up. Turns out nobody showed up besides my mom, my dad, and 2 of my cousins. I still had to play 7 songs in front of them. FML

Today, after winning a major photography competition with the prize of an expensive workshop with a top photographer, I learned that my crazy stalker has paid the £250 workshop costs, and will travel 5 hours just to be there with me. FML

Don't let it get you down. some people just don't care about photography. even when I was lucky enough to be entered into the state competition, my parents showed up but got stuck at all the other places (mostly the bar) except mine. they even had the courage to ask me what place I got when the ribbon was bright colored and huge. truth is not everyone likes all of your work. no matter how hard you want them to. just keep on making good stuff OP!
