Lmao i'm sure your dad is ugly. He deserves to suffer.
poor chickens
That is an awful thing for him to say. It sounds like he had some tragic childhood memories involving chickens... But good for you on your kindness! Animals need to be treated better.
Although I agree your dad was a jerk for the way he acted, I don't understand why you didn't just buy the eggs yourself? Also, I wonder how you put it to him; was it a logical, reasonable argument for cage-free eggs, or did you try to guilt trip him into it? Cause although I wouldn't act like an overgrown two year old if someone did this to me, there's nothing I hate more than someone acting holier-than-thou.
Chickens are terrible, terrible creatures to each other. The cages stop them from literally murdering and raping one another. Free range chicken is murder.
Yea just so you know they put several chickens in one small cage and they cut off the tips of their beaks so they don't kill each other, I don't see how that's better!!
Melissa STOP believing the crap PETA is telling you. They don't care about animals and only care about money. They'll say anything and everything to promote their agenda. Now get out before they totally brainwash you. Chickens are caged individually if they're caged. They don't cut off their beaks with a searing hot knife. They don't cut their claws off either. If they're not caged, they're inside warehouses where they will attack each other, or actually outside with room to be chickens where they STILL attack each other. The only way to make sure they're not attacking each other is to cage them.
You'd prefer they just went around murdering each other anyways?
So it's not ok to keep the chickens in cages, but its perfectly fine to eat their unborn children?
The eggs you buy in the grocery store are not fertilized, therefore they are not "unborn children". If you ever cracked open a fertilized egg, you would see red streaks through the yolk.
"Cage free" eggs are really no better. The chickens still live in horrendously crowded conditions in warehouses and are still treated very badly. No point in spending the extra money on a marketing scam.
Cage free is just a marketing ploy. The chickens are still housed in crowded conditions and abused.
If it means that much to you, why didn't you offer to pay the extra dollar?

Well if you're so concerned about it buy them yourself...not to sound harsh but your dad obviously isn't on board
Chickens are not ugly! They are cute.
