Today, I tried to be kind to animals and get my dad to buy cage-free eggs. When I told him it was dollar more, he started yelling and making a scene in the middle of the store, saying that chickens are ugly and they deserve to suffer. FML

Today, my vegan step-mom found out I ate at McDonald's yesterday. She gave me hell and asked me how it feels to give money to "murderers". All while my dad sat quietly by because he's too whipped to speak his mind. It wasn't even her house a month ago. FML

Today, I went to the supermarket to get some Easter gifts for my kids. At the register, I was verbally abused to the point of tears by the cashier, for having way too many items for the 12 items or less lane. I had 13. FML

Today, I had to sit patiently at the checkout at work, listening to my own father rant about how the twinkies he was buying were "twice the size back in my day", and how "you could buy a dozen of these suckers for just 10 cents." He didn't stop there. No, he tried to haggle over the price. FML

Today, I thought the cashier said the new blouse I picked out was ugly as she was ringing me up. I'm really self-conscious about my fashion sense, so I snapped and started yelling at her. It wasn't until she was close to tears did I find out she said "lovely" not "ugly". So, that's another store I can't go back to. FML

let me just say im completely against animal cruelty, but thats so funny, and I can say from personal experience that chickens are cute when they are babys, then they grow up to be ugly and crap everywhere when you dont put them in cages, but my family doesnt cage our chickens so no internet hate please(:

housing chickens IN cages is actually a lot safer for the chickens because they cnt then attack n kill each other in a panic for no reason. not that it matters rlly theyre all living a shitty life anyway

Just because you buy cage free eggs doesn't mean the chickens exploited in cages aren't there anymore. You buying cage free eggs doesn't actually mean you're kind to animals. It just means you're buying produce from a group of animals that are treated kindly. Those are 2 different things.
