Today, I tried to be kind to animals and get my dad to buy cage-free eggs. When I told him it was dollar more, he started yelling and making a scene in the middle of the store, saying that chickens are ugly and they deserve to suffer. FML

A dollar more is a lot in these hard times.

Cage Free eggs are also a lot safer. Cage Eggs you have chicken cages stacked... So chickens at the bottom get shat on and get sick... But still lay the eggs that are then collected.

I never said you were better off dead, I said you're an idiot and suggested it was probably genetic. I bet you need jokes explained to you too. Anyway, your "I'm going to stick to what I think regardless of what others say" attitude is really the same as saying "I don't listen to reason from others, logic and knowledge have no place in my life".

Tell him that he's ugly and therefore deserves to suffer.

What a sad guy! You were only trying to be nice!

74, re-read comments 43 and 52 again, you will then see where all that came from.

The reason there are caged chickens is because it is more economically beneficial for the producer. Fitting five chicken cages stacked on top of one another is more efficient than five cages spread on the floor. Producers only care about making money, but it's not like their goal is to be cruel to animals. I agree animal mistreatment is wrong, but who are we to judge when all the companies are trying to do is make more money? In a world of money, economics wins out over compassion. Its sad but true.

Why would one hate chickens with such a passion?
