Today, I was a bit upset to learn that my 13 year-old daughter had a boyfriend. When she noticed, she assured me that I shouldn't worry, because "it's just for sex anyway". FML

Today, I picked my 12-year-old daughter up from school after her first sexual education lecture. She burst into tears on the way home explaining her fears of being pregnant with her boyfriend's child. As if that doesn't sound bad enough, I've met her boyfriend before. He is imaginary. FML

Today, my 17-year-old son managed to easily convince my 13-year-old daughter that if you have sex before getting married, you'll instantly get horrible diseases that will kill you. Her freaking out is how I found out she's not only gullible as hell, but sexually active as well. FML

Today, my 15-year-old daughter told me that she's pregnant. To make matters worse, she doesn't know who the father is. She told me not to worry though, because she has it narrowed down to "like, only 3 guys." FML

Today, I found out my 20 year-old daughter has a 46 year-old boyfriend. She met him at her job. When I objected, she told me that I can’t tell her “heart” what to do because she’s “grown” and “in love.” I had to teach her how to wash and she still leaves dirty pads on the floor, but sure, she’s “in love.” FML

I went to a private school that had sex ed classes every year from 3 and up, but I've actually known since about first grade. Being in seventh or eighth isn't the worst time to be active. Especially since sexual thoughts and desires happen around 6th. Still though, make sure her boyfriend is being safe.

Also: 13 isn't actually all too young considering that's when puberty goes into hyperdrive. I was already 6' tall at that age. It's likely she is older than most people picture her because they think more of the number than the actual growth. She could be fully matured at this point and be mentally prepared, or she could not be ready and doing this for fun. But still, at 13 it's not just pizza dates anymore.

Yes, she's way too young to be having sex, but why were you upset at the thought of your daughter having a boyfriend? It's totally normal for 13-year-olds to have "boyfriends" and "girlfriends", even though they don't really know what relationships are yet.

First of all, your daughter is too young to be having sex. Second of all, she should NOT be in a relationship for that reason alone. And third, for the love of God, make sure she's at least using protection; the last thing we need is another kid brought into this world because of stupid teenage behavior.
