Today, I was at a party at the house of the guy I really like. We were talking when he pulled me into his room. I was excited he was finally taking our friendship to the next level, until he handed me a stick of deodorant, saying "I didn't wanna tell you in the hallway, but you really need this." FML

sounds like a good friend to me, who cares if he doesn't want to be with you? at least he cares enough not to let you walk around a party smelling bad.

oh embarrassing but at least he was decent enough to not do it in front of other people. Sweet guy

That would be unbelievably embarrassing. I can't even imagine. But look on the bright side; at least he didn't do it in front of everyone else. He seems pretty nice to me :)

hmmm. bummer, but at least he didn't tell you this where you could be easily overheard.

Awe, that sucks! I don't like that everyone's saying you aren't hygienic. People forget things, right? Anyway, it could've been a lot worse. At least he was a sweet enough guy to do it without telling the entire party AND he gave you some deodorant too. It happens, but at least he was a good friend about it!

oh come on! why wouldn't you wear deodorant for a party? YDI at least the guy cares about you.... i guess

Free DO! Maybe if you wear really bad clothes next time, he'll give you free clothes! Yay for free stuff! (Just trying to make a joke people). Oh and to Tobe, # something, Girls aren't EXPECTED to smell better than guys, if you want to be a hippie and "get down with nature" and live in a house made of poo, and not wear deodorant to express your hate of the chemicals in Axe, have fun. But most girls, (I think, since I'm not one.) would prefer to smell at least moderately clean (I do, at least).

Awww, Dee, they won't **** you (er, I mean take it to the next level) if they start to gag when they get close to you! I'm afraid this isn't one of those stories an old married couple tell the grandkids, you can go ahead and cross "Right Guard Guy" off the list of hopefuls!

Handled with class. If anything that guy might actually care enough TO "take it to the next level" if you're so eager to get in his pants. Make it a priority to apply deoderant and perfume every time you leave the house, because your body isn't going to realise that you didn't and not give off any odor.

What ******* after-school special are you watching? Wake up and smell Juan Valdez tickling your asshole here and stop giving poor Dee false hope, there is no future with a guy who takes you aside to hand you a stick of deodorant.

Umm if you knew you were going to hang out with the guy you like at a party wouldn't you make a little extra effort not to smell disgusting? If it's like a medical problem and you're just an extra sweaty stinky person you should bring travel deoderent in your purse or something.
