You can't wear a pad in the pool, it would absorb pool water, AND the blood would mix into the water.
Girl wear tampons when they swim? Never going to a public pool ever again. That's sick as SHIT.
He seems to think girls just don't swim because they're on their period. I call the discrimination card!
general note: everyone pees in the pool too. and infants... POOP in the pool... and if a woman is breastfeeding... she can lactate into the pool. not to mention the sweat and spit and tears... oh and regular blood. you don't think bandaids hold that shit in do you?
Do you know what a tampon is? It holds the blood inside you so it DOESN'T go into the pool. It would be "sick as SHIT" if girls DIDN'T wear tampons swimming when on their period.
Everyone seems to be raging on about how she was a sh*t swimmer just cos she got distracted, or that she should stop worrying about a 'stupid string', yet do people realise how embarrassing it is to discover your tampon is falling out in PUBLIC? Even if she wasn't embarrassed, it would have caught her off guard - hence the stumbling - and also the fact that her string was coming out of her suit, it means the actual tampon was coming out, meaning YES people WOULD have noticed because of the trail of BLOOD following her.
You know, the string is supposed to help you get the tampon back out. Meaning there's always a bunch of string hanging out even when the tampon is in safely. So it just means the string wasn't secured, wedged between buttcheeks or anything... NOT that it was falling out. I'm surprised you're female, because you obviously don't get how tampons work.
I'm seconding that response. seriously. it just means that she forgot to tuck the string not that it was falling out. I agree on the "stop bagging on her for getting distracted" because it would cause a touch of embarrassment... but that's about it
YDI. Calm down, it's not that big of a deal. If someone was looking that closely at your crotch then that's their problem.

#1 I'm glad your life goal is now complete. OP: You deserve it. Sorry, but if you're going to put yourself in any kind of high pressure situation with others counting on you like that, you gotta get over little things like tampon strings.
LOL. #1 your a jerk. anyway, that sucks, but if your a girl, how did you fall on top of a guy? girls and guys dont swim relays together. anyway its not like you could do anything about it right before you dove off, so it woulda just been easier to swim the whole thing and tuck it back in when you finished and were still in the water. its not that big of a deal i mean everyone knows girls have to wear tampons when they swim.
