Today, I was at Home Depot getting a Christmas tree with my family. While picking out a tree, a man thought it would be nice to help cut off the string that held the tree together. The branches hit me in the face and the guy managed to cut my hand. FML

Thats the point of this website you ******* ****-strimmer.

I have to agree with the masses on this one. He was lending a hand, and an accident happened. And besides, this is only one side of the story. For all we know, the guy could have offered to cut the string and you accepted, only he cut the string before you were ready. And you're making everything out to be his fault, because it was embarrassing. Who knows?

"Today, I was at Home Depot I saw a really pretty woman getting a Christmas tree. I thought it would be nice to help cut off the string that held the tree together. The branches hit her in the face and I managed to cut her hand. FML"

AWWWHHH, ommg:| that reeally suckks, did you at leeast get a discount on the tree, lol? :)

But I also wouldn't really blamee him, he was trying to help.

Merry Christmas! Did you bleed enough to get a free tree out of them? If you did, way to take one for the team!

It IS a FML, because you don't want to 'cut the string' until you get the tree home. It's also an FML because anyone working with Xmas trees should know that the branches fly out when the sting is cut. It's further a FML 'cause the douche cut her!!

yeah, I am a bit confused about why they would cut the netting BEFORE they took the tree home.... that makes no sense. unless you drive a semi or something that makes it possible to take the tree home as is.

She got hit in the face with a tree and cut her hand of coarse its an FML. That really sucks! Although I hope you didn't complain and get him in trouble like some people said. It was just an accident. It blows! but still an accident.

Usually the trees are not already wrapped in the netting so you can see how full they are. I work at this place in a different state, and we have to put the netting on the tree if someone buys one.

I also work at Home Depot, not a single tree sits in the tree tent pre-wrapped. I call BS.
