Today, I was at Target trying on swimsuits. I tried on a medium bottom and was so excited because it fit perfectly even though I've gained a few pounds. My self-esteem was at an all-time high until my mom told me I could never fit into a medium. I rechecked the tag. It was an extra large. FML

you should sit on your mom, that should teach her a lesson.

The size on the tag doesn't matter as long as the clothes fit well and you feel comfortable with the way you look.

vaaaiiiinnnn people there's more to life than worrying about your or someone else's weight

also adding: my fat ass wears bikinis and i look DAMN good in them. OP: if it looks good, rock it.

ok I agree with # 25. I mean If it was an XL in juniors its no big deal because I have had to wear XL bottoms in juniors because my butt is a little big but i'm not fat by any means....oh and from what i've seen target clothes and bathing suits run slightly small anyways. So don't sweat it. And if your self conscious about it, just exercise a little.

Target's sizes run funny, cheer up, m'dear. Maybe you and your mum could go for walks together?

Why do people base their self esteem so highly on weight these days? It's pretty sad.

It's funny reading all of the fatties trying to cheer up a vain girl who knows she gained weight and thought she could fit into a medium bottom. Face it. No one wants to see some fat ass wearing a two piece on the beach with their fat stomach sagging out and chubby legs. Honestly I don't even want to see you waddle your fat self down the sidewalk when I'm out and about. I used to be fat when I was a kid so I know what I'm talking about. Now I'm healthier and leaner and I feel better than ever. Obesity is not a disease, it's a lifestyle. Now, DIABETES is a disease caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. There's a big difference between a disease and a lifestyle. It's just so hilarious how all the fatties always say they can't control and they're so wrong. Myself along with plenty of others are living proof.

If you work out daily and eat healthy meals and snacks throughout the day, you could eventually fit into the medium. You get results very quickly and when you do, it only gives you more and more drive to get more and more fit. i had a similar situation and i decided to do something about it and now i am more in shape then ever before, you just have to work for it! Working out doesn't have to take time out of your day as long as you eat healthy (with occasional cheating) all you have to do is crunches, push ups, lunges, and etc. for only ten or so minuets, and some days when you have time you should go for a run or something you will feel way better about your body and your self in general, i hope you give it a try. good luck :)
