The OP's name says Marcus Jones, so I am led to believe that OP is a guy. In that case, I agree, I feel bad that you can't lift 45 pounds.
Lol, I'm a chick who doesn't work out but can lift double that weight. That being said, it's not your fault if you were born weak.
This **** My Life is so true I had to post something TWICE. You're life is ******. I shouldnt make fun bc in High School I used to be dangerous skinny (as a guy) and there is only way to gain weight and muscle. Eat and lift weights. To gain weight you dont start out by eating an entire chicken. Start small. Grab 15-20lb dumbells and start with that. Or even smaller. Im sure I started out with the bar, and I ALWAYS warm up a bench workout with the bar. For your sake, I hope youre young. If not, get a trainer.
BLATANT LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the bar isn't heavy enough to do that!
To all those who say " Ohhh I can lift so much more, its so dam easy!!! " : Noone and I mean NOONE GIVES A **** ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU CAN LIFT. this goes to #15, dont brag.
you all realize that he said he started with 45 and worked up.... So he probably got pinned under 135 or something
Are you actually saying that you're incapable of lifting the bar? REALLY????? Have you had both your arms in casts or pinned to your sides for the past year, atrophying all of your muscles, or what the hell happened? Do you ever lift your arms? Carry things around? I'm at a loss to explain how this was even possible. Do you ever push doors open with your arms in a semi-lifted position? if so, then you certainly should have been able to lift this bar. Oh. I just realized the only way in which this is possible: you clearly have no arms. In which case, what were you even thinking, trying to lift anything at all??
um, under no circumstances should you be bench pressing without a spotter... even if it's just the bar. you're new to it, safety precautions should be common sense. come on now.

you dont deserve that bc it is my assumption that 98% of the population can lift a 45 lb barbell. 7-12 yr olds included. Spotter next time homeboy. Always when trying new exercises and eat that protein mix after workouts. Sounds like you need to gain some weight and muscle
Don't be so pathetic next time.
