Today, I was babysitting a really annoying kid who wouldn't listen to me, and threw his food through the kitchen, so I punished him. When his mother came home he ran to her and said, "Mommy, mommy, it's not true what you told me, fat people are NOT nice!" FML

Okay okay you're fat, not an FML, because that can always be changed you know? At least he didn't say you are ugly, that's something you can't change. SO you are fat and NOT ugly, be happy and lose weight. The end.

Oh come on please don't kid yourself. You know if you're fat. The kid was a brat anyway, hopefully you explained that to the mom. So??? Lose a little weight and you'll get over it, hopefully you already have though. I saw someone comment saying at least the kid didn't say you were ugly right? Buck up.

not true...there are some people who are in super denial about being fat and they wear skin tight clothes that they think looks good on them, even when it makes them look ugly and fat and disgusting...i see it a lot

The CDC begs to differ: "Percent of noninstitutionalized adults age 20 years and over who are overweight or obese: 67% (2005-2006)" - http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/overwt.htm It's not everybody, true, but it is a lot of fatties.

That percentage also includes athletes and other people who are outside of their suggested weight range due to large amounts of muscle. Even the CDC admits that the percentages aren't accurate because BMI does not directly correlate with body fat percentages. There is a still a high percentage, but not quite 2/3 of the country.

YDI for punishing a kid you are babysitting. Tell the parents and let them deal with it, you don't have enough authority to choose how he should be punished, possibly making it harder for his parents to properly punish him in the future.
