It's illegal for teachers to even tell students about their political standings, much less make them write about the one they themselves (as in the teachers) opinion of politics.

The only way this is an FML is because you raised your son to think it's okay to do something like that. You can give your opinion without being vulgar about it. Also, chances are if he ended a presentation like that he also acts that way every day and that was a 'last straw' situation from him being an idiot in class. I could be wrong but I've never seen a good student stand up in the front of the class and curse at the teacher...

some teachers are idiots. one at my sons school told the class world war two should have never happened it could have been solved peacfully. seeing how u said the teacher bitched you out he must be there king. good for your son he had a right to voice his opinion too. maybe not in such language, but still i geuss he wanted to make sure his point was taken

I am a firm believer that to oppose of something you need to have knowledge of your opposition. If I'm con I'll take the pro. Not always fun... However it does give you better insight. Although I am quite vulgar ... it is just bad form in a institute that's goal is to educate.

I like your kid! He's strong enough to stand up to a teacher and challenge him while most kids follow along thinking that the teacher is always right.
