Today, I was breast feeding my son. Out of nowhere, he bit my nipple hard, causing me to scream in pain. He giggled with my nipple still between his teeth. FML

OP here. I can't believe this got posted before I went to bed! Hahaha! For some reason this got edited out, but he ended up smacking me in the face after he bit me. He's 9 months old so he thinks it's hilarious obviously. And I'm not sure why it didn't show my name, I posted it while logged in. And as for the person who said time for bottle feeding, he won't take a bottle, which is fine with me! He's teething so he tends to bite more when he is. Glad to know my son has made people laugh :)

You don't have to stop breastfeeding b/c a kid gets teeth. If they're actually feeding their teeth are not a factor. And a baby still gets nutrients and antibodies after 6 months of age. It's recommended to breastfeed at least 6 months but it's best to keep going until 12 months minimum. Babies still need either breastmilk or formula until 12 months and breastmilk is best if the mother can do it and wants to do it. Not to mention formula is expensive and breastmilk is free. However, I am not one of those moms who believes that toddlers (2+ yrs) should be breastfeeding. The max I could personally do with my two kids was 15 months and that was 3 months of full weaning. OP, what I did with my kids the few times they bit me was take them away from the breast and scolded them with a firm voice. It worked for them.

You're in trouble now if he finds it amusing

He hasn't done it since, if he does it again I'll try and stay calm. Funny thing is I did the same with my mom when she breastfed me one time lol. She said it was the only time I did it though.

Babies laugh at sudden movements and funny sounds. Someone jerking quickly and screaming is a riot to a 9 month old. I have a 9 month old son and making crazy movements and weird noises makes him laugh all the time. This is no different.

Im not breastfeeding. Im tired of people fighting over this shit. Every parent and child is different. Stfu already. I was a formula baby i came out alright besides my behavioral problems i am normal. The behavior problems started when i was coming out of the womb and anything else i have is hereditary.
