Today, I was delivering packages to patients in the hospital for my job. My boss gave me a room to deliver to, and I drop it off as usual. But my boss gave me the wrong room number. I had to walk in, apologize, and take back balloons and a stuffed animal from a crying 6-year-old patient. FML

Was there not a name to check or something? :/ I feel like this should have been avoidable, but either way, sucked for you and the kid both!

Today, I was in the hospital feeling lonely when a nice guy came in with balloons and a teddy bear. Feeling a bit better about my illness and less lonely, The same guy came in and told me they weren't mine and proceded to take them all back. FML.

Boss should have just let him keep it and bought new ones for whoever was supposed to get them. What a jerk.

That is horrible for both you and the kid. My first thought was: "What?!? Your boss should have paid for balloons and a stuffed toy for the other kid." You should not be put on the spot and made to feel terrible because your boss first makes a mistake (which might have been quite easy to make), and then is too gutless and stingey to fix the problem that he/she created.

Aww poresito, I couldn't take it back. Not from a little kid in the hospital. You're boss is a tool, you should kick him in the knee cap.

Sucks that you have to take the blame because of your boss's stupid mistake... hopefully the parents weren't there to make you feel any more guilty... I'd go buy a stuffie or something small for the kid and let him/her keep that... :]
