to everyone ranting about the phone: its called bluetooth. to everyone not understanding how laptop got on roof: i was carrying a bunch of stuff and set laptop on the roof to open car door. i had just been reamed out by my office manager and head partners in a humiliating way and was distraught. i set it down the right way (on its rubber feet) so make a mental note for the next part. to everyone claiming the laptop could not / should not have made it to the freeway, and / or flown off: i work close to the freeway, and was amazed myself. I later re-drove the route and found the laptop on the side of teh freeway about 2 miles from where i had originally gotten on. from the damage to it, it looked like it must have caught the wind when i got up to speed and then slid down off to the side of the freeway.

Well you deserve that for three reasons; 1) For talking on your phone whilst driving, 2) For suggesting someone was an "asshole" when he wasn't doing anything, and 3) For forgetting about your laptop.
Maybe because he was so stressed he forgot!
Sometimes road rage is derseved but before you get rage you should pull up or slow down to them and ask. You never know it could be someone trying to pervent this from happening to you
Wow, you fail! 1. Never put a laptop on your roof, even for a little bit. Nothing good can come of it. 2. Why were you driving on your phone, paying attention to nothing? 3. Didn't you wonder WHY he was honking? Maybe if you weren't on your phone you would have thought of it. YDI SO much!
Why is there so much hate for people talking on the phone while driving?? Personally, I find having a passenger in the car to be *way* more distracting, and I do that all the time! Anyways, I've definitely done that with meals and such. You set stuff on top of your car when your hands are too full to open the door. And you leave stuff on top of the car when you have several handfuls of stuff to put in the car, and you forget that it's not all in yet. Now, my laptop? When I'm getting in the car I need one hand to manipulate the door, and if my laptop is on me it is *always* the thing that is in my other hand, or on my back if I have a backpack. But then I'm massive and can comfortably carry a laptop in one hand. Also, #58: Have you ever *read* the comments on FML??
YDI for driving while on the phone...
Shenanigans! A laptop would have fallen off as you left the drive way/parking lot or in any event before you got any distance down the freeway... And "flew" onto the freeway? Seriously? A laptop falls off your car into the road directly behind you... Unless you put wings on it and then drove really fast...
YDI for leaving your laptop on the roof of your car.
