Today, I was driving on the freeway when I saw a car in front of me swerving across 3 lanes of traffic. Thinking he might be drunk, I dialed 911 on my phone, but I dropped it. I fished under my seat to get it, swerving, and got pulled over by highway patrol and given a field sobriety test. FML

Just because you're calling 911 on your cell doesn't mean you're exempt from doing something incredibly dangerous. Next time, pull over to the side of the road, call 911, and keep other people out of danger.

Haha. Oh Karma, thou art a heartless bitch.

911 is for emergencies. why don't you people know the number for your local highway patrol? and you all know you talk on the phone while driving, so get off your high horse.

#23...on California freeways, or at least in the city where I live, there are signs that say "If you suspect a drunk driver, dial 911" :P And I don't talk on my phone while I'm driving, because where I live, you can get a ticket for it. On top of that, my mother is a traffic lieutenant and would whoop my ass if I got a ticket for something like that. Anyway, OP, pull over next time. What you did was dangerous. :/

that person could have saved your life/your mother/father's/sibling's life, if the person was actually drunk. they're not nosy for this, just like people aren't nosy for reporting suspected child abuse, domestic abuse or general illegal activities. grow the **** up

OP could have KILLED you/your mother/father/siblings because of his extremely dangerous behavior using his cellphone while driving. How about YOU grow the **** up : most people bashing OP did so because of HIS ******* reckless driving. OP might have had good intention, but epic failed at appropriate timing for action, becoming himself a danger to everyone on the road. Heck, a danger to everyone on AND near the road. I don't want him driving at all because of his poor judgement.

two wrongs don't make a right. NEVER use your phone while driving

what #25 said. :/ you wouldn't think it was funny if that drunk driver wound up hitting you, so be glad there are people willing to phone it in. I still think the OP should have pulled over before using their phone, but trying to call was still the right thing to do.

@#1's it took some thinking, but I don't think #1 was calling OP a heartless bitch... you were calling Karma a heartless bitch. Am I right? if not, disregard.

See why using your phone while driving is a bad idea?

YDI for using ur phone while driving

First, #17, LMAO. Second, this is why they made bluetooth. For people who cannot go without talking on their phones. And FYI #28, Talking on your cell phone while driving in california is illegal, again, that is why they made BLUETOOTH! They are thinking of implementing the same law here in Texas. There are laws to abide by, as well as loop holes.
