Today, I was excited about showing off my new haircut. All my friends thought it looked really good and it made me look older. What did my boyfriend think? He said I look like a little girl and he was afraid to kiss me in public because he didn't want someone to think he was a pedophile. FML

Today, I got a new haircut. I was feeling pretty confident, until coworkers and family members kept making comments like, "I think you gained a little weight", "You look older" and "Do you still like guys?" Apparently, my new haircut changed my waist size and my sexual orientation. FML

Today, I got my hair cut short, as it hasn’t been cut in well over a year and I was getting sick of dealing with it. I told the hairdresser I would probably look like a boy but she said it would look cute, and that she’d make sure it looks feminine. I loved how it came out, until the kid at CVS asked, “Can I help you sir?” FML

In his defense, I look old for my age, and my (now wife) looks very young for hers...and when we were both 18, I got some very dirty looks walking around hand-in-hand with her. Nobody actually said anything to us except once or twice, though. She's actually older than I am. So I can understand his caution.

HAHA! yeah, I was 15 when my boyfriend of four months turned 18. And i look 15, and he look's about 20 something LOL, and people are always saying stuff, this one time we were at the zoo and on old lady that worked there was like, "But you look so young! you can't be any older then 14!", I was like ummm i'm 15? and my boyfriends like Hey now! i'm only 17 though! XDD we don't care what people have to say, and i'm 16 now so in NC it doesn't matter anymore, 16's the age of consent. (And yeah he thinks me looking younger is Hott lmao)

My boyfriend and i were born in the same year but we look ages apart because.. he looks older than his age and I look younger.. and we joke about it (about him being a pedophile) but in the end, it doesn't really matter to either of us. So hopefully, your boyfriend said what he said jokingly (which is probably the case)

aww. thats so sad. i cut my hair 2 years ago, about 7 inches off.. it was at my chin and all of my girl-friends absolutely LOVED it. they said it was the haircut for me and they wish they could pull it off. my guy-friends either said absolutely nothing and looked at my weirdly at first, or they questioned it. he will get over it if hes in the relationship for the right reason. my guy-friends did. and im sure its super cute and pretty on you. :]

A similar thing happened to me with my ex. A lady at an art museum called me a pedophile for dating her. She was more than a head shorter than I am, but she's actually older than I am. It was funny, really.

It's not necessarily a bad thing that you look younger. Regardless of whether you actually do. I think he just wants to avoid conflict. Making a big deal out of it with him may not help anything.
