yeah i had a similar experience, with public California schools, got into 3 in a row then today i was slapped with a rejection which i thought i would be accepted to...turns out it was harder to get into than i thought so dont feel bad
#71 - No, as in it's hard to get a job at Target. It's a good thing; better than I managed for quite a while.
Having just escaped four long years at Target, I have to disagree with some of the previous comments. I realize the economy is bad, but Target is not a "fast, fun, and friendly" place to be right now. Prepare to be unimpressed with a company that Used to be Excellent to work for. Yes, a job is a job in times like these, but being miserable at -any- job is still No Fun.
Waitlisted at your "back-up?" You deserve this for A) your obviously poor performance in school and B) aiming too high.
You've always got target.
it doesnt make since that you got all your decisions in one day and on a random day? the days where most colleges send out decisions are december 15 for early applications and april 1 for regular decision. i dont know of any colleges except rolling decision colleges that would send it out on a random day. and it is highly unlikely that you got all of your rolling decisions on the same day. but still sorry that you didnt get in anywhere. i know it sucks but there is still a chance you get off the wait-list.
I don't know why anyone would think you deserved this. The economy isn't doing anyone any favors right now. Especially the newly graduated trying to get into college. Try a community college. You'll save money, and it's not as bad as some people like to make it out to be. My boyfriends cousin went to a community college and got his associates degree. He's doing perfectly fine. So I wouldn't worry about.
Sounds like you should've tried harder in high school. The economy has nothing to do with getting accepted to a school.
I'm sorry, that is sucky.I was the other way...I got accepted to all my school choices, but then I had to decided which one to go to because I didn't rank them in order of where I wanted to go..

note to you... a back-up is supposed to be a school you're sure that you'll get into classic case of inflated head syndrome
You obviously overestimated your academic achievements. Don't feel sorry for you. Tough luck. Maybe community college is the way to go for you.
