Today, I was fiddling around with the thermostat at my new place. For a laugh, I twisted the knob all the way to 40° celsius, when it snapped off. I don't have a clue how to fix it. FML

Just have a licensed HVAC repair person replace the thermostat. Shouldn't cost much. In the mean time, there is almost always a switch near the furnace so you can turn it off. You could also check the breaker box. (don't touch the bus bars and juice yourself, for the love of god)

Do you mean Fahrenheit? Cause 40 degrees Celsius is really hot.

Yeah, that's kinda the problem. Would it really matter at all if the heaters where set to a low heat? they wouldn't even come on at 40 Fahrenheit.

That's hot. 104 degrees F. You sure you read it right?

That's why you never touch the thermostat

Ohhhh nooooo 40°C!!! That's almost decent! It's 20 here and I'm in a tshirt and shorts! Move to Canada and grow some balls already xD

Now you get to pay for someone to fix it. What a waste of cash!!
