Today, I was forced to spend an extra $318 for another plane ticket to Dallas. The ticket wasn't for my daughter, my mom, or my sister, but for the quarter of my butt that apparently needs its own seat. FML

well you gotta feel sorry for the person who might have been sat next to you if you hadn't bought the ticket. They would only get 3/4 of a seat for their butt otherwise :P

If you really are working out 8 hours a day you're probably just as unhealthy as the op. overtraining can be just as serious as undertraining and you're probably doing substantial damage to your body by over working it, not to mention hindering your gains by not allowing your body to recover. You don't build muscles in the gym, after all. That being said, op you're free to live your life how you want it, and if you want to get so obese you require two seats than go right ahead. But don't think for one second you can come online and get any sympathy from anyone. You made yourself fat, nobody forced you to eat too much and abstain from exercise. And speaking as someone who eats right and lifts weights 4x a week I can say I would be very upset if the fatty next to me had his or her fat rolls spilling into my seat. Those seats are small enough without having to share some with blubber.

work out the and lose some weight fatass

I feel the need to be nosy and opinionated. Genetics and depression as factors for obesity have been around forever. However, obesity has only recently become a major epidemic because of our increasingly sedentary lifestyles and love of cheap high calorie food. Genetics as a cause for obesity represent a very small percentage of the obese population, so while it's possible that genes are the cause for OP's obesity, it's highly unlikely. (And if anyone says anything about metabolism, stop. There are always ways to compensate for metabolism if you're willing to look) There was a comment earlier about how we have to accept that the world is getting fatter and accommodate for that. to reword my point more succinctly, we're getting fat and lazy, and it's attitudes like that that enable it to happen. If obesity were truly a genetic epidemic that we couldn't do anything about, that would be one thing, but it's not. It's a lot of stupid self indulgence. I'm certainly not going to sit happily crammed next to some lardass on a plane that I paid good money for just because they couldn't say no to another Big Mac and think to myself "Oh this is just the world changing, maybe I too should eat myself into an early death." tl;dr OP, if it's genetic, sucks to be you. Otherwise lose some weight, fatass.

well it says "quarter of my butt" so that doesn't mean OP was spilling over to the next seat or morbidly obese...and to the people saying "lose weight" it's not always easy to lose weight, you need to change your lifestly as well as diet. and to the people who think the ticket price should be based on the weight the person- i'm sorry, you're an idiot. that's the stupidest plan i've ever heard of. who wants to wait in line to get weighted at an air port? and what about if you're pregnant? obviously you're going to weight more, so that means you have to pay more? that's not how the world works. the OP should still have to pay for the extra seat, but maybe the FML was more of a "i let myself get so overweight i need an extra seat on a plan" and not just "i had to pay extra money".
