Today, I was forced to spend an extra $318 for another plane ticket to Dallas. The ticket wasn't for my daughter, my mom, or my sister, but for the quarter of my butt that apparently needs its own seat. FML

Today, I paid $140 extra to get more comfort during a flight. The man behind me was so tall that his legs didn't let me recline the seat, and complained every time I tried to during the night. FML

Today, I found out that my dad paid for my sister's friend's airplane ticket so she could attend my sister's wedding. I would have been there myself, but I couldn't afford the airplane ticket. FML

Today, I was supposed to fly home for my dad's funeral, but the woman in the seat next to me was so obese, her bulging flesh left absolutely no way for me to sit in my seat. I complained to the stewardess, who then forced me to leave the plane just for raising my voice in frustration. FML

Today, my daughter found out there was a vacant seat left in first class on our flight and damn if she didn’t pounce on the opportunity to get bumped up into it so fast, because she, “like, deserved a break.” She left me in economy class for a 10-hour flight with her 3 year old and 1 year-old with teething pain. FML

Today, I was flying back home from college with my Mom. At the airport, the ticket agent tells us she only has one ticket listed for Margaret. My mom and I have the same name. American Airlines thought a Margaret had bought two tickets by mistake, so they cancelled one of the transactions. FML

I absolutely can't stand fat people whose fat oozes into my seat on airplanes it is one of the most disgusting things I've ever experienced and I'm so happy airlines are finally doing this to make it easier on their clientele YDI

As much as I'd like to sympathize I can't... If I'm paying the same price for 3/4 of a seat that you're paying for 1 1/4 of a seat it isn't quite right. Especially when u add in the smell... Morbidly obese people with permanent rolls develop mold in the folds causing them to literally smell horrible all the time... I've experienced the smell coming from a couple people I used to work with even when they came in freshly showered.

I think that rule came to Canada sometime ago. The rule that if you are overweight you have to spend an obnoxious amount of extra money on a plane ticket. It's pretty damned ridiculous.

Whenever I ride on a plane I barely fit my butt in the seat. I'm not obese, just pudgy. I have a huge ass that hardly sits in any chair. Very awkward for a tiny upper body and a big bottom.
