thats_not_good tells us more.
The tattoo is on my shoulder blade, and it's a Celtic knot that I drew up myself. The artist was filling in the shading in the knot after finishing the outline when he started filling in an area on the wrong side of the line. He ended up fixing it so the design came out symmetrical, and it looks really good. No regrets and no worries.

did he misspelled something? sorry about that. i hope that he really was able to fix it.
It's still a bad idea, but at least it wasn't breast implants.
tell us! what happened? agreed #29. also, you had 3 forces against you. karma (for not listening to your padres) murphy's law (anything that can go wrong will go wrong) and the common jynx ("people get tattoos done all the time and nothing goes wrong") BRAVO! pay attention to what you do, say and the inevitable. and maybe the artist won't draw a big one on your back. (is that what happened?)
how would you know? its on your back they coulda been joking
if the tattoo artist said that while he was doing mine, i prolly would have ripped his throat off....however, OP, i did research into places to get my ink done. (they were also following the pattern that they laid down and i was watching the entire time.)
RESEARCH YOUR TATTOO ARTISTS BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!
Gotta love FML for showing up all the small minded bigotry of the average populance! The majority appear to hate on smokers and tattoos while being a ***** or just plain stupid is considered ok. I'm just glad that the commenters don't carry on YDI for having pre-maritial relations or going to college when you should be married at home in the kitchen. This would be funny if it happened in a movie or something, but sounds like an urban legend/christian tattoo hating morality tale to me.
Had to make an account just to agree with #75...

It was a bad idea.
Yeah, bad idea... sounds like if you try it again you should do a little research to figure out the best tattoo parlor in your area...
