Today, I was giving an anti-drugs speech to a group of ninth graders. I got onto the topic of trafficking from problem countries and asked a student to point out Mexico City on a map. He hesitated a few seconds before pointing at Canada. What the hell has the education system come to? FML

It's not the school system's fault, the dope coming through Mexico is much stronger than just a few years ago. The kids are just coming to school much more ****** up than ever.

I would have peed my pants laughing. I wonder where he thinks Canada is.

It's come to marking homework and tests in purple pen so that if you get an "F" you feel a little better than if it was marked off in red... It's come to middle schools and High schools not being allowed to have Halloween parties because they might "offend" the super religious jerks who won't allow their children to believe in anything outside of non-fictional characters and the bible. It's come to not being allowed to have Christmas celebrations in school BECAUSE they're religious and anyone who doesn't share the exact same religion might be offended. It's come to "No child left behind" in elementary schools so no matter the behavior of a child or their parents, they can make it all the way to middle school without actually having done any homework, writing assignments, or learning anything about the history of the nation they reside in... We need the government to get their ******* noses out of our schools so we can go back to just teaching kids and having their parents taking responsibility for aiding their children in their learning experiences... FYL OP because we have too many parents who won't stop blaming the schools for their uneducated children, and too many schools who are too afraid to mend the behavior of bad kids because they might get sued...

It breaks my heart to see a child, curious by nature about anything and everything, continuously being ignored by his/her parents, in a manner that makes you wonder why they had a child at all. It's something I see quite often, unfortunately. They think it's all on the schools to educate their children, when in reality, most of what they learn is outside of school. There is also the situation of the parents that simply are not able to be there helping their children learn, due to circumstances such as work. They are being lumped together with the parents who simply choose not to take interest in their offsprings' education. Regardless, both situations result in wasted potential.

Mabster, you need to get the **** off of your soapbox and realize that just because thing were a certain way twenty years ago that it's not necessarily the "right way" now. No child should ever be forced to partake in Christmas or Halloween activities. If it's not a part of your religion and their parents don't want them to be involved due to religious beliefs, so be it. It's idiots like you that have our nation in the downfall that it's currently in. You can't stand change; even if it betters our society. **** the **** off you ******* **** face ******.

Yes, aren't you just the winner that obviously sees "progression" in the shit state of affairs we're in, at the moment. Kids are flunking out of school more and more, schools are closing and combining children in classrooms that weren't designed to hold as many kids as they have to now, ALL because the state says "No, this school has lower test scores than THAT school, so we'll kill the jobs and the smaller classrooms for quantity over quality." Listen, you poor excuse for an American who should be shot, When we had "Christmas" parties in the classrooms as a young child, we celebrated SANTA, not Jesus. When I was in middle school we had a Halloween dance but we weren't allowed to wear costumes because it might "offend" some religious bitches who didn't believe in pirates or fairy-tales. YOU. ARE. PATHETIC. And should not carry the title "American".... I hope you're sterile for the sake of our nations' future....
