You might want to take a look at your priorities here. Fireworks > your future wife?
THAT BITCH! honey, this isnt an FML moment....for many reasons. 1 they cant spell words with fireworks...look it up if you dont believe me. 2 if you love her enough to marry her you wouldnt be that upset over her proposing to you first 3 if you would be that upset over her asking first, dont get married. marriage is expensive. 4 and if you paid someone who said they could spell "will you marry me?" in fireworks ....thats money you wont ever see again.
Oh man, I'm engaged to a woman who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her, FML.
Dude that does suck that you just spent a crap load of money on a huge proposal. But you got the girl of your dreams to marry you. Your a lucky man. And maybe you can still go on with the thing you got set up. That'll really show her that you want her just as much as she wants you.
The important thing is that she wants to marry you too. Being romantic is good, but there is such a thing as over-the-top. The fireworks? Over-the-top. Thoughtful, but too much. However, there is such a thing as being too UNromantic too, and proposing at a Subway?! (I don't know if you mean the restaurant or an actual subway, but both are equally bad.) But unless you're rich, don't waste money on something like that. The proposal itself will make the night special enough. Keep the money for something useful. You'll be spending your life together, and I'm sure she'd appreciate it more if you used that money to help provide for your home and living expenses. Or just something practical, that the two of you can USE instead of just look at ONCE. Or save it to use on the wedding itself.
everyone, RELAX. not every FML on here is a true **** my life, where the outcome is miserable. because of this site, FML has come to stand for other things too... it's just more of an "fml, this happened when i did all this work, but my life really isn't ****** because otherwise i wouldn't be on this site" if anyones life is really as ****** as you would all like them to be, this site wouldnt exist because those people wouldnt have the time to sit on here and try to fit their FMLs into the word limit, they'd be trying to fix their ****** up lives. this is just an amusing story, and a romatic one at that, so everyone needs to relax and stop taking FML to be so literal. and congrats on the engagement! how cute. and it's great to see that girls can do the proposing sometimes.
