Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

The first and third I can understand from a strict parent. The second is just plain wrong.

LMFAO "an article on dating my mom" use a period.. anyway wutizurmumzproblim ( I hope a grammer Nazi invades )

Honestly, that is the most fanatical nutcase mum i've ever heard of. Mate, that's just messed up. Your mum needs to see a shrink. Kids kill themselves over parents like that. F@ck.

I feel like this is very dramatized. And those are not Mormon ideas. whatever magazine that was it had nothing to do with mormons.

First, Mormons don't teach that. Second, I think this is trumped up of an article I DID see in the Watchtower magazine.

There seems to be a vibe in the comments that this came from a Christan magazine. Now I don't know a whole lot about Christianity but I'm pretty sure lying about your children is not generally encouraged. I'm a dad of two little girls and I can understand wanting to keep them as babies and not wanting them to get hurt. Monitoring calls is sensible (depending upon their age) and keeping kids at home is extreme but understandable. Spreading lies about them? That's crazy. FYL.
