"Don't say that, my little sugarplum! You always look absolutely gorgeous!" There, is that what you were fishing for? Pssh, YDI.
You fish for compliments, now you fish for 'YDI's. You seem to be one insecure person.
Sorry OP, But you deserve it. Guys don't think the way women do. Women have complex emotions and thoughts. Men just want to get strait to the point and be done with it. If you walk into a room and say, "I feel like I am ugly" then his first thought might be, "What does she want me to say?" However, If you walk into a room and say, "How do I look?" then he will answer you. The answer he gives you might not even be what you want to hear. Him dating you should be more than enough to tell you what he thinks of you anyway. This doesn't work in all situations, but still if he is with you than he has some sort of a positive opinion towards you. The best thing for you to do is to save things like this for your friends (the girls) instead of your boyfriend. You should also try reading, "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus". It's a bit out-dated with concepts in the book that we normally don't follow anymore. However, it still gives a good idea of how different men and women really are. Also, I know someone who really benefited from the book. However, I don't suggest you ask your boyfriend to read it. He might get offended and some guys aren't big fans of 'self-help' books. "When men and women are able to respect and accept their differences then love has a chance to blossom." -John Grey, author of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"
Any FML that involves the OP saying/doing something in the hopes of getting a specific response gets an automatic YDI from me. You suck OP.
Id say the same, even to a girl i have a crush on.
I don't get his comment. sound like he is an idiot
