Today, I was in my 15-year-old sister’s room when I found birth control pills. I told my parents, who responded by saying, "Sex is beautiful thing." When I was her age my parents caught me pleasuring myself, and smashed my laptop with a hammer, all while calling me "filthy" and "immoral". FML

Today, I came home to find that my room had been ransacked. My mom comes out of nowhere and says that we need to have a talk. I freaked out thinking it was all the empty alcohol bottles under my bed. My mom holds up the birth control and says, "I always knew you were a whore." FML

Today, my mom went through my drawers and found some antibiotics from Planned Parenthood. She immediately flew into a rage and told my whole family, my aunts, and her church that I was a “loose woman with a horrible disease.” The antibiotics were to treat bacterial vaginosis, not an STD at all. FML

Yes, it is known birth control can regulate periods, help cramps and have other various benefits, but obviously taking it to not get pregnant is an option, so I don't get why people are so quick to rule it out. And put yourself in OPs situation. If I found birth control pills in my sisters room and I would do what he did and she would do the same. Just because he told the parents doesn't mean he wanted to see her get in trouble, he might've just been really concerned.
