Today, I was in my 15-year-old sister’s room when I found birth control pills. I told my parents, who responded by saying, "Sex is beautiful thing." When I was her age my parents caught me pleasuring myself, and smashed my laptop with a hammer, all while calling me "filthy" and "immoral". FML

who cares if your slutty sister is having sex. look on the bright side, she will die from AIDS. American girls are the #1 trashy girls on the planet. Most of these little ****** lose their virginity at the age of 12 these days..... More ***** dying from AIDS will equal to less people on this planet.... and that is a good thing, LOL!!!

Okay, to all the people saying "birth control isn't always for protection..." Yes, we are aware of this. Highly aware of this. They are used for period regulation, acne regulation, stuff like that. That isn't the point. The point of the FML, if you can read, is that rather than freaking out like they had on the boy, they said "sex is a beautiful thing." They were assuming that the birth control pills were for SEX. His FML is that they're exampling a double standard. Now, I really do hate narcs and if you had know that they would have reacted violently when they found out about this, then you shouldn't have said anything to them! If they had destroyed your laptop when they found you masturbating, imagine what they would have done to your sister if they knew she was having sex! That's kind of a scary thought. Though, I DO give you a huge FYL because I sympathize on the double standard thing. It sucks. But, you know, as the eldest, you kind of have to deal with it. I'm sorry your parents are so close minded.

Haha my dad caught my brother jerkin it and just laughed and teased him. He caught my sister also and she is still grounded. This was almosta full year ago.

I don't understand why so many are assuming he snooped through his sister's stuff then ratted her out in order to get her in trouble. It's very possible he had a legitimate reason for being in there and happened to see the pills b/c she accidentally left them out in plain view and was concerned his 15 year old sister was having sex. Being upset his parents went from overreacting to him masturbating to having a 'sex is beautiful' attitude' doesn't mean he wanted her to get into trouble. Although I find it very hard to believe his parents would have such a drastic change in attitude when it comes to sex.

Looks like your not the favorite child in the family. Fyl

yeah, it sucks being the older sibling because you're the one that has to go through all the strictness and by the second child, parents are usually a lot more easy going fyl

a) That's what you get for being a ******* snitch. b) Just cause she's on birth control does not mean she's having sex, so you should stay out of her damn buisness. c) Having sex with someone else is different than having sex with yourself. You just weren't good enough to actually get any.

Listen bro, all siblings have the whole confidentiality. Not just siblings, cousins as well, neice nephew etc... You find your sister who's 15 with birth control pills, you tell NOBODY. Who cares if she's having sex, she's using birth control, obviously she's keeping it safe. You kinda had what was coming to you sorry.

Why'd you snitch on her? She could be like my friend and take it because she got raped.

REEEEEEposting some points, to accomodate some above me who are clearly stupid: To those saying "birth control doesn't mean sex!" you all fail at comprehension. Consider the parents' response, and also consider that they didn't know she had them, obviously. They would have known she had them if it was for reasons other than sex, and they wouldn't have said "sex is a beautiful thing" if it was for reasons other than sex. [adding]228: I seriously doubt she was doing it because she was raped. See again: "sex is a beautiful thing" and of course take into consideration if she WAS raped, there would be definite signs. Plus, you don't continuously take birth control pills after sex for one time, raped or otherwise, you keep taking them if you keep having sex. At least that's what I thought, sounds like common sense to me. And Why is masturbation worse than underage sex? Why is it worse than sex in general? Why are the parents' reactions to their children justified because it was masturbation vs sex? Also he wasn't necessarily snitching. He could be genuinely worried about the consequences his little sister could experience. He took the case to his parents because they're THE PARENTS and are the ones who usually administer the advice and "the talk" and all that. Maybe he wasn't expecting them to punish her but to just talk to her? [adding]If you're going to say "what's there to talk about? she's safe!!!" -- do consider that birth control doesn't necessarily prevent STDs, and that she could be whoring herself out to more than one man, aaand that she could still be unsure about a lot of sexual things. She is just 15, after all.
