Today, I was in the ER where I work as a registrar. A patient received a plastic urinal to use in his room. Most patients throw them away when they leave. He, however, decided to take it with him, and as he checked out, put it on the registration counter. Two feet from my face. It was used. FML

Two feet? What, you wanted it closer?

You work as a registrar in an ER and you are put off by sterile urine in a plastic receptacle a few feet away from you? Maybe you need to get a job more suited to your delicate temperament. Perhaps putting sparkly collars on cute little puppies?

You work at a hospital - at an ER, no less. If you can't take the heat...

Oh NO! You're a sensitive little thing, aren't you? Urine? In an ER? Two feet? Could you BE any whinier? I hope you complained to a nurse and she laughed in your face. YDI

I don't see how the OP deserved this in any way. The patient was being disgusting and irresponsible, the OP shouldn't have had to deal with that. It's one thing if the patient had no control over his actions, but he clearly did. I don't care if the OP works in the ER or not, he/she shouldn't have had to see that.

Wow...a used urinal, in an ER...He could have thrown the urinal at you with urine in it. Be glad it was empty.
