Okay, this just needs to be said She was taking a bus to her formal because she has to. It's an insurance and a safety thing. Because there will be alcohol present at the event they bus you there and back to make sure that you don't drink and drive. This really sucks. I have no idea what I would have done. And yes I'm greek. And it isn't what you see on TV.

First of all, I would like to point out that the girl was not necessarily drunk. Just because she threw up doesn't mean that she was drunk, could have been motion sickness or anything. So stop with harping on sororities and fraternities. Clearly you have never been part of one. And that really sucks, getting barfed on? Yuck. I had a similar situation in a friend's car. I was in the back seat and his dog was in the front, drooling with its head out the window. Not pleasant.

i agree with 158 but i need to throw in my 2 cents as well because im tired of everyone associating greek life with movie qualities like drinking yourself retarded every night and achieving poor grades. i didn't think i was gonna join a fraternity when i came to college but i did, and have never regretted it. my chapter has the highest GPA of any male population on school, and its been that way for several years now. we're a small school in a smaller town but we raise annually around 5-6 thousand dollars for childrens miracle network. last year with 60 men we logged in 1000 man hours of community service. we also know how to party as well. we do enjoy our drinking but e know how to be responsible about it. the dues we pay every year go into the rent for our house, national fees and insurance so everybody is safe during our parties. None of my brothers lack the social skills necessary to make friends, and in fact that is clearly shown during rush when we are able to show freshmen what it actually means to be in a fraternity. on my campus greeks are the only people that participate in anything. i know there are plenty of **** up chapters at schools across the country but i know that there are the chapters like mine who are full of outstanding students who know how to balance a social life as well as school..
