Urine has been touted as a treatment for acne, athlete's foot, jellyfish stings, and some of the isolated derivatives (urea, for one) thereof remain an ingredient in many over-the-counter lotions to this day. In the Middle Ages, it was used to wash clothing, buildings (ammonia. Ever used Windex?), even people. Most urinary tract infections are caused when e. coli bacteria are either pushed into the urinary tract via sex, masturbation, or wiping after using the bathroom. The reason people generally wash their hands after using the bathroom is that these bacteria swarm all over your swimsuit area. Especially if you're healthy. So, we have a water-based compound that is sterile if you don't have a UTI (and if you do, contains bacteria you are already cleaning off of the rest of you, most likely in larger numbers, anyway), and also contains urea and ammonia, which are most likely in the lotion you're going to slather on yourself after the shower, and the shower-cleaning spray you're going to use when you get out. Where's the problem, exactly?

#45 I don't know where you get your information, but most homes only have drain pipe which travels to the sewer system. It all gets treated. The only place I can think of where there is a separate system for waste water and drain water is on ships, such as cruise ships. So just don't pee in the shower on ships.

I agree with post # 204. People have done worse things in showers than pee. And for everyone saying that showers weren't meant to be peed in: you're right, they weren't, but it's not stupid to pee in the shower if you're already in there. How many people do you know who sit in their room watching TV, realize they have to pee, and just run and jump in the shower to do it? None, because EVERYONE knows toilets are meant for that, and they do use them properly IF IT'S CONVENIENT. Peeing in the shower is convenient, not lazy and gross. If you're already in there, with running water and soap, why not just pee if you have to? It's not like that's the first place people go when they've got to use the restroom. Hopefully the OP's girlfriend isn't a closed-minded idiot like some of these people.
