Your not supposed to us CPR on someone with an Internal Defib. YDI
Yes you are supposed to do CPR on someone with an internal defib, that's like saying a surgeon is going to operate on someone who's bleeding.
TO_Medic... Umm #33 thank you for knowing what your talking about... #35 your an idiot... I am post 33 and 35... LOL...... But ya, lots of clueless idiots posting on this one....
ouch! hope someone was there to do CPR on you! lol :)
W00t #33 totally owned those n00bs!
#27 a difib doesn't go off unless there is a noticeable electrical rhythm. if the person was in asystole then cpr needs to be done otherwise it won't work. therefore her hand came up and hit him because he did his job right and made a rhythm. and yes, it does send a jolt through the whole body. FREAKS YOU OUT THE FIRST TIME YOU SEE IT! OP I work in an ER and the first time i performed CPR I got the patient back into v-fib and the doctor said to shock it, and the nurse in there with me (who was male) also got felt up in the junk. it was comical. good job getting her back into a rhythm though!

:-( sorry dude, you were doing a great deed and you got injured. I'd still give you a pat on the back though.
AICD's have been around for a long time. they work the same as the pads, sending massive wattage across your heart and will cause a convulsion in the limbs. go google it ffs.
