Today, I was prescribed anti-anxiety medication due to the high level of stress that I experience at my job. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the medication because I do not make enough money at said job. FML

Try having crippling panic disorder accompanied by depersonalisation, OP. Then you'll be saying FML. Do yoga for God's sake.

The real FML here is that you live in America and therefore have a terrible, selfishness-based health care system ... I find that really sad and am truly sorry for all those whose poor health it only worsens !

Good. Those pill are bad for you anyway.

what's the name of the drug?? might be a generic form of that drug.

I also share this situation. hope you are able to find financial help.

most don't. I have worked at lawyers offices for over 14 years. during that time, only one office provided health insurance - and that was 8 years ago.

because I think it comes down to who gets to decide if one is important enough to justify expenses. that is the issue, not to mention wait times for emergency operations. I don't think anyone is against "free healthcare" - but NOTHING is "free!". someone's paying for it!!!!

if you are in the us you could ask the doctor for a generic similar to the one he prescribed. if it's ssris or buspirone it's 4$/month at walmart
