Today, I was pulled over for speeding. The officer was nice and let me off with just a warning. That is, until my dipshit brother yelled "Fucking pig!" out the window as the officer walked back to his car. FML

Today, I got pulled over for speeding. I started fixing my hair and unbuttoning a couple of buttons on my shirt, hoping the policeman would let me off with a warning. When he got to the car, he rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. I saw him walk back to the cop car gagging. FML

Today, my brother found out that getting pulled over is technically getting arrested. Almost on cue, we got pulled over because my dad doesn't realize that "stop at a Stop sign" doesn't mean "slow down to a crawl, then go." My brother then started yelling, "WE'RE BEING ARRESTED!" At least the cop thought it was funny. FML

Today, I got pulled over on the highway for going over the speed limit. The cop seemed nice, and I was sure he'd let me off with a warning, until my husband piped up with, "Didn't think you folks came out this far. What, the donut store got shut down or some shit?" I got the ticket. FML

Today, I got pulled over for speeding. I tried to make a joke to ease the tension and said, "I’m just trying to keep up with the traffic!" The officer looked around at the empty road and said, "What traffic? Are you under the influence? HANDS ON THE WHEEL!" It went downhill from there. FML

Today, the car in front of me was going slow and I flashed my lights and honked. I floored it and passed the car, flipping off the driver. Just as I went around the next corner I got pulled over by a motorcycle cop. A few seconds later, the guy I flipped off drove by honked and waved. FML

They are not clicking on YDI because of OP's brother, but because OP was speeding. It doesn't matter if "speeding happens all the damn time", it's still an offense you get a ticket for. How difficult is that to understand?

The FML isn't about the speeding though. It's the asshole brother getting OP in trouble for absolutely no reason. If OP was being a jerk, then it would be a YDI. But he wasn't and neither was the cop. That's why it's a FYL. The brother was just being an asshole. And no one likes an asshole.

#102, the FML is about OP's idiot brother and what he said, not about OP receiving a ticket. It'd make very little sense at all for anybody to be clicking 'YDI' because OP was speeding, since OP isn't complaining about that. Your logic is a bit flawed.
