OUCH! being an artist i feel your pain. once my teacher drew a line through my drawing and said " u suck!" Im 17 and my art is hanging in museums around the world and she has the nerve to tell me i suck. >.< What im trying to say is there just stupid jealous ass holes, it doesnt matter what others think as long as u like it, but it does piss me off!

The art teacher at my school doesn't leave any room for imagination. She'll give you a bad mark if it's not how she imagined it. Art is supposed to be your own interpretation of something, like an outline given to you by the teacher and you have to copy it. Some teachers just don't know how to teach.

Sounds just like my high school art teacher. She totally ripped on me about a portrait of my long dead grandmother. I was using a 5 by 7 from the early 1940s and drawing a portrait literally 5 times that size. The only part I messed up was the mouth. Otherwise it was an almost exact replica. The portrait was also a gift for my great uncle (the portrait subjects brother) who is dying of the same disease.

their's a solution for this. It's called locking the doors and bringing a big metal hammer

My art teacher was a bitch to everyone but me. Apparently i am a good artist lol

personally i think you are taking it way too hard. if she thinks you made alot of mistakes, but you think you are improving, well thats great. just be aware that she is more experienced than you are. even if she is being bitchy.
