Today, I was shopping in an upscale store. As I was changing, I heard one of the snobby saleswomen say to mine "You shouldn't bother. She isn't going to buy anything." Determined to "show her", I purchased everything I'd tried on. It came to around $500. My credit card was declined. FML

that's just... stupid. plain and simple. why on earth would you buy things you didn't even really want just to try to "show" a saleswoman? what does it matter really?

Wow trying to show that you were materialistic? Come on now shame on you. Esp. Since you didn't even need it. Course your card knows better he doesn't even wanna be used by you. Next time, do what #10 said. That's rude and if the sales woman was profiling you, be sure to be a snobby bitch back

#21 Pretty ******* lame, considering I can afford to do awesome shit like skydive and have my servants/slaves compete in gladiator style tournaments. BTW if you wanna make some bank and don't mind getting dirty let me know.

AHAHAHA I get it ... That's a great technique to sell ! Say out loud "she's not gonna buy anything" while a dumbass is trying some clothes on, and then, you can be sure that the idiot is gonna buy EVERYTHING. Great job !

You're a moron. If you wanted to "show her" without looking like a complete tool, you should have just spoken to the manager about her rude behavior.

Agree with #28. Also if it's an upscale store they sometimes work on part commission, so "show her" by NOT buying $500 worth of crap you don't need.

You probably should have just gave the saleslady an evil look, not try to buy everything. Oh and I agree with 20

YDI, but you should've complained as well. Staff should not be making those kinds of comments about customers, especially when the customer is right there. It's totally inappropriate and unprofessional. If you absolutely have to bitch about customers, do it in the break room or something and not on the shop floor.
