Today, I was spending time with my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. Trying to be romantic, I told him that I loved him and I was so glad I was with him. He responded by giving me a thumbs-up and turning back to the TV. FML

what a nice boyfriend you have there

#9, they want to be the one that changes them into a nice guy or "saves" them, and most likely, they have daddy issues. Some just like to be with someone difficult or who will control them, because its "cute". Usually, in that last case, it just turns into abuse. That's my own personal opinion anyway.

#51 yeah..no idea what it is. probably gonna write a book on this sometime. girls never cease to amaze me.

A whole year hm? At least now you know exactly how important you are to him. Either he heard you and that was all he could respond with or he didn't hear you and didn't care to find out what you said. The fact that the TV was there is irrelevant since TV isn't all that important. Be thankful to know where you stand with him. (I'm betting if his favorite meal entered the scene, he'd have stopped watching the show long enough to align the plate in front of himself, so that makes his favorite meal more important than his girl. LOL Sooner or later he'll learn that food isn't the only thing that can grow cold if left waiting.)

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. They go for the assholes because "they need saving" and "maybe he really likes me this time" and then wonder why they're stuck with an asshole. Meanwhile the guys who really do like them get the cold shoulder. People are so ******.

easy comeback, next time you are having sex, after he finishes just look at him give him a cheesy ass smile, two thumbs up, roll the eyes and go watch american idol.

So what? My boyfriend does it all the time. Is he ADD/ADHD?

I agree with #14 she never said what they were doing, I mean they were watching TV and he was watching something but were they cuddling together on the couch? Maybe he was laying on the couch and she was sittin on the chair next to it. They might have just came home from a romantic day of telling eachother how much they love eachother and he just wanted to chill on the couch and it was late. Maybe they were both tired (from a long day or some heavy sex). Stop being so quick to say this guy is a jerk when we don't know what the situation really was. Everyone does this kind of thing sometimes, so breaking up with somebody for something like this is like saying you're dumping humans in general lol.

Your idea of romance is telling people you love them?

Dude probably just wasn't ready to say "I love you" back and didn't know what else to do. Can be an awkward moment if one person says it and the other isn't ready to hear it.
