Today, I was talking to a guy I met online and have known for 4 years. I've fallen in love with him twice, one of those times being currently. He was supposed to visit this summer. I got an email from him saying he's really a 17 year old girl from Chesterfield, MO. FML

Which means he's a married 48 year old man from New Jersey - or some dude you know from work.

This happened to my cousin, actually. They talked on the phone and everything, too. The girl was in Colorado and actually faked a male's voice. Quite convincing. I'm sorry it happened to you.

god these people are so harsh! feel propper sorry for you love :) x

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA thats probably one of the funniest things ive read in a while... youre a fool... 4 years means shes been doing it since she was 13? how does it feel to be fooled by a 13 year old girl?

of course you can fall in love on the internet. just because you've never experienced it yourself and therefore don't believe it can happen just means you're too narrowminded to understand. It may not be the wisest thing, I agree, but you can't entirely help who you fall in love with. Sometimes it just sneaks up on you and happens.

hahah for the epic loss. yet, for the epic win cuz the sheer self pwn this took to make a good fml story.

Uhh so was she posing as a guy? If so FHL for being so retarded. But YDI for not picking up on it. I'd expect her level of conversation would be pretty immature...

if you TRULY fell in love with the person, it shouldn't matter their gender

of course you can fall in love with someone online.. I had a boyfriend of 3 years that I met online and loved him before we met in person. so please stop talking all you people who don't know. there are no rules to love.
