Today, I was talking to a guy I met online and have known for 4 years. I've fallen in love with him twice, one of those times being currently. He was supposed to visit this summer. I got an email from him saying he's really a 17 year old girl from Chesterfield, MO. FML

Which means he's a married 48 year old man from New Jersey - or some dude you know from work.

You fault all the way. Never ******* ever believe what someone tells you online. Never ******* ever fall in love with someone online. Always meet them before developing any feelings for them. Period.

lol Never trust the internet So uh... when does she turn 18? #225... brilliant man

Shit, Chesterfield is in my neck of the woods. And 17 puts her in my age group, good chance I went to high school with her. Haha, small world.

how could you fall in love with someone twice? online? and never have met them?

It's possible to fall in love on line, I'll say this. It's happened to me and now I've been in an incredibly awesome relationship for almost 3 years, 2 of those years I've lived with the man and my life has never been better. HOWEVER. 4 years, and you weren't tipped off somehow? Never meeting for 4 years, no phone calls or webcam conversations or even a microphone conversation. The lack of confirmable pictures didn't tip you off? What are you, 12? Any smart person would realize something was wrong, and while I can sympathize with your heartbreak you should have known so YDI. Also, #253, if you're really that girl, screw you for being so heartless.

if you're truly in love, why does it matter if it's with a girl? i mean, don't do anything illegal - if there's an age difference then wait until she's 18 - but love is love. i really don't think gender should matter.
